Qualified in Dental Surgery at the Royal Dental Hospital, London and later in Medicine at the Medical School in Birmingham. He gained his FDS in 1973 and obtained his postgraduate training in Birmingham and Cambridge. In 1980 he was appointed to the University of Manitabo as Chairman of residency programme in oral maxillary facial surgery together with headin the department of Oral Maxillary Facial Surgery and Hospital Dentistry at the Health Sciences, Winnipeg. He remianed in that position for some eight years and returned to the U.K via a spell in Jeddah as Hospital Director of National Hospital in Saudi Arabia. He worked as a Consultant in Oral Maxillar Facial Surgery to the Ministry of Defence until the closure of the majrity of military hospitals in 1995 and subsequently moved as a partner to the London Day Surgery Centre, where he is Medical Director. He has lived in the Burford area since 1993 and enjoys a regular consulting session at the Cotswold Dental Specialists in Cirencester. His particular interests are in clinical problems associated with the temporomandibular joint and implantology. |
